To believe that Sony isn’t thinking of the same thing is a tad silly……. To Apple’s credit, they refused to put a copyright filter into the generations of ipods with video, and that was a big reason they lost the NBC contract.

Nevertheless, I suspect that the problem will only get worse with video before it gets the same backlash that audio got. Ugh.

johen: If you compare Sony’s actual restrictions with Microsoft’s actual restrictions in their actual released products, you’ll note that Microsoft’s are almost invariably worse.
The PS3’s restrictions are significantly milder than the XBox’s restrictions, for instance.
