skippy: more things to do are GREAT! I can pretty easily set up wp on the root page and moinmoin on a subfolder if you'd like, just give me the word and the domain and I'll do it.

Also, I do internal backups from one partition to a hidden one just in case I get cracked, but nothing to protect from complete hardware failure. If you'd like I can schedule a mysqldump job and you can copy that locally. Unfortunately wp/sqlite support is not done yet otherwise that would be the simplest solution.

I can always give you something else to do!

Since you mentioned this "WordPress" thingamajig, I've been rather intrigued with the idea of using it on my super-awesome website that I never update because it uses this piece-of-crap perl script system (I rigged up one day at university when I as bored) to generate static pages. It's all well and good until somebody doesn't bother posting anything there ever because LJ is just so much easier. So yeah, maybe WP would be the way to go.

Also, a wiki of some kind on my site would also be useful for documenting my various electronics projects. Apparently there's several different varieties of wikis as well, you'll have to pick the best one for me. Can one combine WP and a wiki on the same site? It would be something like:

www.mysiteblah.com/
www.mysiteblah.com/projectwiki/

Also, what does your hosting do for backups? If I'm using some sort of blogging system, then all my posts are stored in the mysterious ether on that thar server o' yours.

HAHA! Now you'll have something else to not do while you're playing Civ4 ;-)
